Introducing the Vivo G2: An Affordable 5G Smartphone with Dimensity 6020, 90Hz LCD, and 15W Charging

Vivo introduces the all-new Vivo G2, reaffirming its commitment to the entry-level smartphone segment. Targeted primarily at the Chinese market, this device stands out with its Dimensity chipset, a silky-smooth 90Hz refresh rate screen, and a robust 5,000 mAh battery equipped with 15W charging capabilities. Interestingly, these specifications bear a striking resemblance to those of the Vivo Y36i, launched just last December.

Taking center stage on the Vivo G2 is a 6.56-inch IPS display boasting HD+ resolution and an impressive 90Hz refresh rate. The phone features a discreet waterdrop notch housing a modest 5MP front-facing camera. Flip the device, and you’ll find a 13MP primary camera ready to capture your precious moments.

On the software side, the Vivo G2 runs on OriginOS 3, based on the Android 13 operating system, providing a familiar yet intuitive user interface. The device ensures all-day endurance with its substantial 5,000 mAh battery, complemented by the convenience of 15W charging—ideal for users constantly on the move.

For those who appreciate aesthetics, the Vivo G2 is available in a sleek Space Black color option, adding a touch of sophistication to its design. The device offers a range of storage configurations to cater to diverse needs.

The base model, equipped with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, comes with a price tag of CNY 1,199 (~USD 168/PKR 47,000). Meanwhile, users in need of more power and storage can opt for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, priced at CNY 1,899 (~USD 267/PKR 74,000). With the introduction of the Vivo G2, the company continues to solidify its presence in the budget-friendly smartphone market.
