Earlier this month, OnePlus announced it would release Android 14 for the OnePlus 11 on September 25, which is less likely since Google hasn’t released the stable Android 14 yet, and it’s rumored to roll it out on October 4 after the Pixel 8 series is unveiled. However, OnePlus 11 users in India and North America don’t have to wait that long to get a taste of Android 14 since OnePlus has announced Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 Beta 1 for the smartphone.
If you are in India, make sure your OnePlus 11 is running firmware with version CPH2447_13.1.0.590(EX01) or CPH2447_13.1.0.591(EX01) before applying for the beta program. North American units are required to run firmware CPH2451_13.1.0.590(EX01). The OnePlus 11 must also have at least 4GB of free storage and 30% battery for the installation of OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1.
OnePlus has 5,000 slots for beta testers and is already accepting applications. You can check the OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1’s changelog below.
Before applying for the Open Beta, know that the beta software often has bugs that hamper the user experience and are best avoided on primary devices. OnePlus has even shared some known issues with the Open Beta 1, which we’ve listed below.
