Vivo X90 Series Debuted Globally; X90 and X90 Pro Featuring 120Hz OLEDs, Dimensity 9200 SoCs, & More

If you recall, Vivo’s latest flagship family, the X90 series, was also the first to officially debut Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoCs. The lineup holds three smartphones, X90, X90 Pro, and X90 Pro Plus. Following a long-stretched retail period in China, they have debuted globally.

Vivo has finally made the X90 series global; however, they’ve only relaunched the vanilla X90 and X90 Pro. X90 Pro+ remains exclusive to China. Malaysia is the first international market to receive the pair; the rest will follow shortly, including Thailand and some European regions. Let’s dive in to see what Vivo X90 and X90 Pro pack inside.

Vivo X90

They share the design to a tee; you won’t be able to tell both phones apart at one glance. Both have a circular glass disc for the camera and a glossed horizontal line cutting the backplate in two halves. The accented line has “Xtreme Imagination” embedded inside.

In specs, X90 holds a curved OLED display measuring 6.78 inches with QHD+ (2800 x 1260) resolution, 452 PPI, and 120Hz refresh rate. It sports the highest-ever 2160Hz PWM dimming and a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. It runs Android 13 by default, powered by MTK Dimensity 9200 chip, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 4.0 storage.

On the back, it has a triple-camera setup; a 50MP (prime), a 12MP (ultra-wide), and a 12MP (telephoto). A 32MP piece lies under a punch hole at the front. In peripherals, the phone only brings a type-C port that charges its 4810mAh cell at 120W. 12GB+128GB variant of X90 costs MYR 3,699 OR ~239,000 PKR.

Vivo X90 Pro

The Pro Vivo flagship sports a 6.78-inch OLED screen with the exact resolution of X90. As with the vanilla model, users get HDR10+, 120Hz refresh rate, 1300 nits brightness, and under-display biometric. X90 Pro is better protected than X90 thanks to that IP68 rating against water and dust.

X90 Pro also packs three cameras on the back, capturing shots using 50MP primary, 50MP 2X telephoto, and 12MP ultra-wide sensors, all OIS-stabilized and backed by Vivo V2 ISP. It has the same 32MP selfie shooter on the forehead.

Cameras apart, both models are identical, bringing the same Dimensity 9200 chip, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 4.0 Storage, and 120W charging. The battery under the Pro’s shell is slightly larger at 4870mAh. X90 Pro serves 12+256GB configuration in Malaysia at MYR 4,999 or ~323,000 PKR.
