Panda-is-Bald ratted out two new Realme devices on Weibo yesterday, one of which is a world-first / record breaker. The Internet’s been abuzz with rumors of a smartphone that sports 240W charging speed, and speculations on the web have pointed it out dubbed as Realme GT Neo 5. Panda corroborates the fact.
Realme is working on a 240W charging kit that can recharge the phone in mere minutes, and they’ve officially tested it. It looks like Realme GT Neo 5 by the manufacturer is the first phone to get it. The phone has been doing certification runs ahead of its official announcement.
Before it officially unveils, Panda is Bald gave away its specifics. GT Neo 5 has two variants, one of which packs a 5000mAh battery backed by a 150W charging kit. The second variant, a record breaker, houses a 4600mAh battery and uses 240W ultra-fast charging to refuel.
Critical details in Panda’s spec sheet include a high-end OLED screen spanning 6.74 inches across with a 20.1:9 aspect ratio, 2772 x 1240p resolution, and 144Hz refresh rate. GT Neo 5 models also have the same SoC, a flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. The specifications of the new GT Realme mobile phones are similar throughout both models. In the province of photography, they pack a primary SONY IMX890 50MP sensor, along with an 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP depth mapper.
The feature manifest shared by Panda seems legit and is in line with one of GT Neo 5’s earlier certifications. TENAA listings on models RMX706 and RMX3708 revealed the exact details.
